Here it is! The official trailer for what promises to be one of this year’s most visually stunning films. The Great Gatsby, is the American classic by F. Scott Fitzgerald featuring all the trimmings of a good story: love, jealousy, betrayal, murder, and money. Storyline aside, we are enthralled by the styling that has gone into this movie and frankly, wouldn’t expect anything less from Baz Luhrmann (having brought us Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, and let’s just forget about that other film Australia).

Set in the ‘Roaring Twenties’, the movie promises to be a pure delight for those with a keen eye for magnificent set design and period costumes which will certainly have you running to implement dapper twenties items to your closet in the form of sparkly hairpieces, open-toed strappy sandals, rhinestone jewelry, flapper dresses, and for the men – cuban hats and three piece suits.

The film, a remake of the movie which previously starred Robert Redford and Mia Farrow, will star Leonardo Dicaprio in the role of Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy, and Tobey Maguire as her husband Tom. Isla Fischer will play mistress Myrtle.
