It was in one of the most fashionable areas of Tokyo where yesterday night officially opened, in the presence of Karl Lagerfeld, the exhibition The little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld*, stealing the spotlight off the Tokyo Fashion Week.
Over two floors of the D building in Aoyama were dedicated to celebrate the iconic and timeless masterpiece of COCO CHANEL.
In a unique and suave atmosphere, were exposed 113 photos depicting models, actors, singers and other personalities in the little black jacket taken by Karl Lagerfeld and selected from the forthcoming book with a casting that embraces all aspects of contemporary culture.
Joining Karl Lagerfeld, guests included actress Kiko Mizuhara, architect Junya Ishigami, models Saskia de Brauw, Stella Tenant, Saki Asamiya and Rina Ota, artists Yi Zhou, Ellie and Asami Kiyokama, jewellery designer Harumi De Rola, CHANEL ambassadors Vanessa Paradis, Alice Dellal, Zhou Xun, Gaspard Ulliel and actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Clémence Poésy and Astrid Bergès- Frisbey.
It is amazing to witness two brilliant minds working together giving birth to such a delightful project. #Team Carine!
